A house is not a home unless it contains food and fire for the mind,as well as the body.

Not as bad as I thought

Its been about 2 weeks since this new pay system was put in effect. So far so good. I learned how to budget from my landlady....I know she is great!!! I never really was taught how to budget and one day I was talking to her and asked if she has any idea how to help me budget. It was simple and easy and I still use it after 4 years of living here. I put a certain amount every night for rent and my one bill,a certain amount for the van and then I splurge!! No I am kidding. Money gets put aside for the week. Food, carfare and then I really don't touch it. I am waiting for the just before X-mas sales to buy just a little something for my self. Something to wear as I am the practicable one. Don't know if that is good or bad just the way I am. Being brought up poor and cheap .....always having to watch the penny jar does that.

Wish this was mine!! Its pretty full.

Nothing exciting happening here. I have gotten a few things. I bought a agm battery, smart charger and a inverter so I can start to see how the electric part of this will happen. I need to do it before I am in the van so I say lets practice now!! I have some time. I want to be out by spring. Thats about 3 months from now. We will see. Its getting closer...YAH!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Life is good Life is simple

The weather here has been so nice. 70's all week but today is dark and gloomy and I was ready to take the bike out. Well if it ain't raining I'm going.

So I wrote that before I headed outdoors and it looked like it was going to pour. So instead of taking my bike and having the bad fortune of getting drenched I took the bus. Of course it didn't rain but it sure looked like it. I had shopping to do for the week. Ive been shopping different now because I am gluten free. I bought almonds, tomatoes, treats for my pets(thats always the same)heavy cream and organic chicken and eggs. I don't eat as much but Im always full. Sometimes too full so we we are going to scale back a bit. Not by much though. It seems that my body hasn't learn yet when its full?

My gas engine bike has been coming along. I got the engine, on the chain and then all ceased to go forward as Im a bit tired this weekend. I have the wheat fog from the wheat I accidentally ingested a few days ago to blame on. Seems I'm very sensitive to it and it takes a long time to release itself from your system. My joints also hurt when I have ingested it. On the good side is that my skin is smoother and when I don't have wheat at all I have tons of energy.

At work they decide to change our days. This happens once in a while when new people come in. I only asked that I have 2 days back to back. I really hate having one day off then another day 2 days later. Too tiring!!
Really nothing else going on here.

So until next time (maybe something exciting going on) Have a grand week!

I am bored of this life

It is the rat race thing that does it. It starts early in the morning and I mean real early in the morning. Try 3AM. I need to get me to the train by 4:30 which is no real big deal since I live 10 mins from the train. When I am waiting for the big old bad noise machine to come in, its just us commuters going in the city. Well not me I go 2 stops. We ramble on the platform getting into our desired spots and try to be civil to the one next to us. No pushing. No shoving. Usually.  What I think it so funny if your standing on the ground and looking up we look like a bunch of pigeons.

We are so like our animal life and if you look to see it you'll know what I mean.
I had a talk with a customer of ours. Granted she is 85 but she has a great sense of humor. She was kidding with her Aide ...."Hurry up with have places to go things to see" and then she rolled her eyes at me. Same ole same ole. She would be great doing the RV thing...she is pretty fast on her her walker rolling thingie. She is bored. Big time.
And so am I. I need some wheels because there is so much to see right where I live in NY but so hard to get to. I lived here all my life but barely touched the surface of what it offers. One thing to really look forward to getting my rolling home. Soon. VERY soon. Because I would love to see the seals in "The End"

Which is Montauk NY. They have so many museums I can't count. Bike trails that lead you into another world...to get lost in. We have chipmunks here but you only see them in the trails for some reason. I love chipmunks. they are so cute. LOL

Here on Long Island we are blessed with great riding

Without any way to get from point A to point B except by bus or train Im limited. Whats nice about it is this...when I go I can stay for a few days. I'll have a place to sleep and it will be my home. A real mini vacation..every week. Can't wait

Have a nice weekend everyone!!!
