An afternoon off

Last night was a hard night. I slept a total of 3 hours. I am not sure what kept me up. The stress at work ,the hours wearing me down little by little or the move...the work involved getting ready. I am so focus now in getting prepared. Mentally and physically  that sometimes I daydream while working. I should add I drive for a living? Today I told my manager I needed the afternoon off. I was driving like I was drunk and it was really scary. I would after getting out of the car and bring a paper to him and not really be aware of the traffic. Out of body reaction. I had to concentrate twice as hard to do something. I know this happens when all people who are over tired or plain tired or plain drunk,just wasn't happy it happened while at work. As much as I wanted to go home I also wanted the money. But I did go home. I made it across the street.

Nothing really has changed

Work and then home. I play with my little pals, clean ,cook and sleep! Yeah my exciting days. Nothing really to post. I am still looking for the home on wheels but nothing is really showing for me either.
I did notice something about my self lately. All those things and dreams too I had one day of using my creative skills to make a small living. Its still there buried under all the hours I work each week . 72 hours to be exact . And we wonder why thee is always tired? Once I get my home on wheels we need to have a serious look at my work schedule. Because it is seriously killing me. I need to find time to put my creative side to work so I can make a little money on the side here. Its not going to happen when I work like this.
Hopefully next weeks post will be more fun. I doubt it though. LOL

The New Year

Wow a whole year is gone can it really be?. Its been a good year for me. Sure I had some downers but mostly I had uppers. Starting with making new wonderful friends here on the blogs and from FB. I've met a few FB friends face to face and its wonderful,I mean we became friends because we had things in common so whats not to like.
The storm Irene from last year opened my eyes to what I could do with my life when I found the cheaprvliving.com forum online.
I learned to budget much better which has always been a thorn on my side. My diet has been improving I exercise more. It seems to me when you make New Years resolution that it has to be the WHOLE year to adjust to it. Doesn't that make sense? So this year it will be the van. I want to get more involved with some charities not sure what I can do to help them but I will keep my eyes open for suggestions.
I have also started writing again. Not just here but I have been writing a few short stories. I am rusty because it has been a few years but the more I write the better it comes. Its the creative part thats more important. Thats why we have editors! Would be lovely to write a novella about one of my ideas. Maybe not this year but to get most of it done. Its a start.

Not as bad as I thought

Its been about 2 weeks since this new pay system was put in effect. So far so good. I learned how to budget from my landlady....I know she is great!!! I never really was taught how to budget and one day I was talking to her and asked if she has any idea how to help me budget. It was simple and easy and I still use it after 4 years of living here. I put a certain amount every night for rent and my one bill,a certain amount for the van and then I splurge!! No I am kidding. Money gets put aside for the week. Food,carfare and then I really don't touch it. I am waiting for the just before X-mas sales to buy just a little something for my self. Something to wear as I am the practicable one. Don't know if that is good or bad just the way I am. Being brought up poor and cheap .....always having to watch the penny jar does that.

Wish this was mine!! Its pretty full.

Nothing exciting happening here. I have gotten a few things. I bought a agm battery,smart charger and a inverter so I can start to see how the electric part of this will happen. I need to do it before I am in the van so I say lets practice now!! I have some time. I want to be out by spring. Thats about 3 months from now. We will see. Its getting closer...YAH!!!!

Garage Sales

This summer I have been making head way with some items for the van. I haven't gotten her yet but it already its a she. In fact I may call her that "She" which in Australia it means Sheila. I am heavy into recycling and garage sales are a boon. I have gotten so far a big igloo for nightly and weekend food items. I got it for a whole 2 bucks!! Reason? No handle. Like I'm rolling it anywhere LOL. It has the sprout for water draining and cup holders which is perfect for me. 60 quarts.

This will sit between the 2 front seats. I also last year (at another garage sale) for 1 buck got a doubled walled styrofoam cooler which fits perfect inside for double(triple?)insulation. I bought a converter still in package for 2 bucks. Some thingie to hook furniture to the walls of the van. FREE 4 shelf collapsible shelf system. A wooden folding table(not cheap Walmart brand.... not that I don't like Walmart ...love it!)for 4 bucks. New double outlet new in box for 3 bucks. And summer is not over!!!!

Computer is down!!!

I try to post a blog at least once a week. But my computer is ill after only 4 months! If you have Dell I have to tell you ,you are in great hands. They have such good customer service. I do not have to pay a penny and they figured what the problem was on the telephone. Ok bad part be prepared to hold the phone to your ear for at least 2 hours at a time. Yeah ...thank god for speaker phones! Its nice to see I now have 24 followers. Thank you for joining my bumpy ride here. Hopefully I will have my laptop back in about 10 days and not have to hang at the library. Don't get me wrong I do love the library ,just like to kick back on the couch better with the laptop. On the van side side I am getting closer to getting one. I figure by next month I will be on the hunt for my new home. Im already starting the bed frame for it. Since it will fit in any van I can go ahead and draw it out and starting drilling and sawing away. Its going to be a reverse futon that will be about 47" x 66 inches. I can't wait to get started on it and I will be taking pictures along the way. So thats it for now...have a GREAT week everyone!

Going to Disney world part 2

So does anyone know a good rat sitter? I'll be darned that the guy who was going to come to my apt. to take care of them is not working at our job anymore. He works in 1 town and I in another. So he calls me today to tell me and of course I was not near my phone. Just GREAT!!! He doesn't tell me he can't do it ...in fact he didn't mentioned it at all. So I tried to call him back and that got me no where. If I do get him I hope he can still do it. See his car broke down and he doesn't have the money to fix it but I can get my boys there to his place. So I'll see. BUT I'm not holding my breath and looking else where. Finding a rat sitter is like trying to find a kid sitter for some really bad kids,they both have bad images.
