My day off

(This was actually written last week on my day off....today is all rain)
I woke up this morning and found the sun has sneaked in. It was hot but not so hot to turn The AC on. The fans were blowing ,it was a such a pleasant breeze. I savored it knowing in a few hours the hot air would move in and my skin would stick to the sheet I was laying on. Luke my little pal would come out when it gets that hot. Being stuck in the cage makes a pet get cranky if its not cool.

I had a most interesting and different breakfast. Salad. Now most of my life I have had eggs, toast ,cereal and yes I have had cold pizza for breakfast. Not once did I have a salad. I am not hung up I can change and change I wanted because everyone else has it why do I have to conform? It was delicious. Dark green romaine lettuce still crisp the day I bought it,bright red little cherry tomatoes with some sea salt ,avocado,sunflower seeds and mushrooms all chopped in a large bowl drizzled with virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar. Tasty and so light. Going to have to make more of those on summer mornings.

Later on was wash time time for the clothes. I decided to hand wash today. Got out my 10 gallon bucket and put detergent in warm water and used the plunger for washing. It makes a spin like a electric one. Rinsed my clothes a few times plunged again. Many years ago this is the way they did it. They did use the wash board too but they had a special plunger that they used and they still sell them.

Although most of them are plastic now ,they used to all be made of metal. I don't really do it to be green its just sometimes I am lazy and don't want to head out doors even though its beautiful out. I'd be hard pressed to get the shopping cart out and load 20 pds of laundry and make my way 1.5 miles to the laundromat. Through traffic which never seems to know that yes, you can make a turn on red but can ya at least wait till I get across? Nope that would kind of ruin my day off. You know what I mean? So I get what I need washed without all the hassle. Win win kind of thing.
On a word about my van hunting or should I say home hunting? I am so glad I waited because now I see I would have picked the wrong one. After more reading and I have done tons I realize I really need a white one. I am not a hot and sweaty person I hate the summer really I complain all the time about it. The winter I love but then I never have to shovel any snow either. I wonder if I'd change my mind if I had to? But I love to snuggle under a blanket on a cold day and stare out the window watching flakes come down slowly. I often look up when its snowing and get a little dizzy but I love it. So white it is because of heat reflection. 4 more weeks. Can't wait.

Do you want some free stuff? Plus diet is so important

Been a while seen I've been here. No nothing really big and exciting to spread around. Just go to work and then come home kind of thing. My days off have been really just cleaning and trying to pack things away.
I'm selling some stuff too so kind of chained here at the moment. I decided I didn't want the engine on my bike I bought for about 200 bucks. Some guy wants it for 50 bucks. Rightttt!!! Thats not happening. Selling brand new comfort handlebars for a bicycle for 5 bucks. What..... don't want to be comfy riding?
My apt. is a mess from doing the said above now even though I threw so much stuff away it still feel full. Tried to donate to free-cycle but nobody bit the bug yet. I have to give away some stuff because nobody really wants to buy them. If at the end nobody takes them I will be putting a sign out side free stuff and let them take it away.

The end of the month is coming and I've saved like I said I would, dear god please don't give me an emergency now!! It seems every time I try to save thats what happens.

After I have the van I will be getting ready in 1 month. Nothing fancy. One thing I will be doing before I leave is insulating. Once thats done ...I'm out.

On another note I have not lost any weight yet. It seems my digestive issue is still going around in circles. I can't eat wheat. I can't have too much dairy. And wham I now need to take digestive enzymes everyday now. Where does one get such bad inside like that? Its interesting at the same time...just trying to figure it out. Its so like a puzzle.

I have one more little old man rat that may be coming with me. I will have to downsize his cage but he is not as active so it will work. It will be cooler by then so it will be fine. Another item to sell..huge rodent cage with playpen and carrier. I will be selling it at a very low price. Its a good deal for somebodies pet. I am betting that will go fast.

Been riding my bike a lot these days. We have a beautiful town park that I am planning to ride through tomorrow. Its not a long trail but around 3 miles. Will take some pictures then and post.

Ode to the landlady

Well I have a GREAT landlady and lord. How many times I've been stuck money wise and she I swear doesn't get angry. We all have issues is her answer. She know I want to pay. Really? Sometimes I don't but I do. Don't tell her that. HEHE. But really she has taking me late at night to radio shack when I was having computer problems. She checked on my pets quite a few times for me when I was worried about the heat. She will stop for me and load me into her SUV when I'm walking. She invites me into her place to talk. And she listens. Shes my FB buddy. And she makes me laugh. Im going to miss her when I leave. She wants one months notice,Im giving her 2 months. She will find someone fast at the price of this place.
The best thing about her is she is my friend and Im proud to say that. Thank you Donna!

Life is good Life is simple

The weather here has been so nice. 70's all week but today is dark and gloomy and I was ready to take the bike out. Well if it ain't raining I'm going.


So I wrote that before I headed outdoors and it looked like it was going to pour. So instead of taking my bike and having the bad fortune of getting drenched I took the bus. Of course it didn't rain but it sure looked like it. I had shopping to do for the week. Ive been shopping different now because I am gluten free. I bought almonds,tomatoes,treats for my pets(thats always the same)heavy cream and organic chicken and eggs. I don't eat as much but Im always full. Sometimes too full so we we are going to scale back a bit. Not by much though. It seems that my body hasn't learn yet when its full?

My gas engine bike has been coming along. I got the engine, on the chain and then all ceased to go forward as Im a bit tired this weekend. I have the wheat fog from the wheat I accidentally ingested a few days ago to blame on. Seems I'm very sensitive to it and it takes a long time to release itself from your system. My joints also hurt when I have ingested it. On the good side is that my skin is smoother and when I don't have wheat at all I have tons of energy. 

At work they decide to change our days. This happens once in a while when new people come in. I only asked that I have 2 days back to back. I really hate having one day off then another day 2 days later. Too tiring!! 
Really nothing else going on here.

Virus overboard

I am sick. Have been sick now for 4 days.  I'm sleeping all day and my stomach is nauseous. A creepy little bug made its way into me.  I went all the way to work today and realized there is no way I could function. I was doubled over because I had been throwing up so my stomach hurts. I was dizzy. So off I went on the train to go back home. Hey at least I tried. I feel a little better after sleeping all morning. I had a yogurt and its staying down. I don't remember ever being this sick for 4 days. Except for a cold. When I went to work (or tried)my supervisor said other people at work had been sick also...with the bug. So thats my life right now.LOL On the good side my pets are VERY happy to see me home. What company they give me. Small furry bodies are not bad. Like a hot water bottle.

Going to Disney World part 3 GOT A SITTER!!

So there is another forum that I go to. Its a meet up forum. In case anybody might be slightly interested here is the site.http://www.meetup.com/ Its basically a place where what ever interest you have you can meet up in a group together some where. In the rat meet up I put that I was looking for a sitter and heck 1 hour later I got one HEHEHE thrilled to death. I need to make the cage smaller so it fits in her car. Yup you heard right shes picking them up! Cool. Since I don't have a car. My cage is 5 ft tall  http://qualityratcages.com/products-page/legacy-cages/the-ruud-cage/ so it I can take the top part off and make it 3 ft tall and that's perfect to fit in the car. Its light so carrying it won't be any problems. My friend never called back. I'm thinking he feels bad so he doesn't want to talk about it now. I'll leave a message that I got another sitter so he doesn't have to feel guilty. Now when its my turn I'll have to do the same thing. Hard really getting a sitter for rats unless you know where to look. My rats vet who is wonderful doesn't board either. so I can relax now that my furry boys are taking care of. Whoops I forgot, Pinky is not furry LOL. Hairless and bald naked but adorable.
