A house is not a home unless it contains food and fire for the mind,as well as the body.

AAh depression has come...again

Today I hear it will be quite wet. Pouring lots of the wet stuff. Its suppose to come down in buckets and the noise I hear ....will match it. Perfect for the way Michelle is feeling right now. There is nothing better to me when it rains and I feel ...well whats to say under the weather. I have been feeling this way for a few weeks. I can tell you(and I am sure everyone around me does too!). The little signs. Hating work more than usual. Taking a few days off here and there(like today). Today I will be taking steps to help myself and relieve some of it by being busy. To figure out where its coming from.
One of the things I notice when you start to get a little depress is your very sensitive to what's going on. You may overreact to something to well...you really don't need to. I looked over the past few weeks and notice I was becoming upset over things I read about on the net. I am a BIG animal lover. Shelters and rescues are high on my list. There is one which at the moment I am not reading.  It leaves me breathless and so sad when I realize there just cruel people in this world. I mean as a adult I know this. I just don't need to get it thrown in my face all the time. So goodbye for now. They do good in the world but everyday you don't have to really tell people about it. And I can't handle it right now.
I am positive ! Even though depression has made its ugly head I know its just a phrase. Tomorrow will come and it may be lifted.
Not the most up lifting post I know but thats a day in a life for Michelle and millions others.
Cheer up!!!!

Just a short note that being wheat free is working for me

Except for a couple of weekends where I indulged in carbs this has been a fantastic month. I have for the first time in my life have energy. At one time I couldn't get out of bed on the weekends and just lay in bed wondering what the hell was going on. I know now wheat was killing me slowly and I'm not kidding either. My appetite has decreased to about 1/3 less and I can wait for my next meal without feeling like I'm starving. I eat good too. Baking my own bread. Gluten and grain free. It is the way I have to eat for now on. And Im enjoying it and feel tons better. Win win for me. Are you wheat intolerant? Come join us at Wheat Belly at FB or not.

I rode my bike today which I fixed. Yes it was broken for 3 months now. For some reason I couldn't get myself to fix the wheel. So what it is raining here. Its just water. OK drizzling. Not to bad. But I smiled the whole way!

Depression

I get depressed at this time of the year. Holiday.bah hum bug. I lied today and took a day off. I don't like doing that but it happens. I dont take off when Im sick with a cold or if Im in pain(unless its severe)but yes I do take a day off sometimes when I get this funk. To me this is my illness,my sickness....had it for years. Today i will do something to make me feel a little better. I will take care of my self. Writing here helps. I will keep busy...crochet. Take a walk. Play with my pets. Call friends. It doesn't last long, a few days sometimes a week. Sort of like a migraine. I remember when I 1st starting getting depress but didn't realize it had a name. I was about 15 to young to know what it was but old enough to know something was wrong. I got help and learned to manage it without meds. So I don't get get suicidal thoughts but its a low grade depression? Has nothing and everything to do about living in a van. Maybe living in it is the wrong word, just hanging out in there is better. Who knows maybe by moving in the van and staying where I want to will have a good impact on this depression.
