A fruitful 2 days off

These 2 days off are being used productively. We got a rug in, a bed frame with a air bed to test it out and even my small cooler frig in. I   have a regular cooler but decided to use this instead. I can put a block of ice in and while the van is in motion I can plug in to the battery of the van. It will be covered to keep it colder. Did a lot of little things. Although a little messy. Bedspread and been folded for a while and the rug I can't figure out how to connect to the floor flat. I can't use nails. A curtain went up...actually a black blanket that I bought last year from Wal-Mart. Money is very tight for me right now so I am using what ever I have laying around. It went up between the front and back. It wasn't up when I took the pictures though. I am ordering bubble reflective for the windows from Swankies Amazon store and at one point will be getting better curtains to cover the blinds. The blinds will stay up as it so common here it will help with the stealth,which I really need!      

 I packed all my spices into two small containers. One I use a lot and one I use sometimes. Thought it would make it easier when I have to cook something. I will be ordering all my batteries I need. During the warmer weather I need to get some sort of solar and car battery to run a very small dehumidifier.

I cannot believe how empty my apt. is. I can put all the things in 3 kitchen cabinets into less then half of one. My closet just has my clothes that I wear for work ,and that isn't much. The bathroom is empty except for toilet paper soap and toothbrush /paste.

I am nervous and excited for this next part of my life and just getting ready. let it begin!

A little bit of my life

Today is a nice warm 60 something and would be better with the sun out and breeze gone. It also would have been nice if the car I use for work went into gear like its suppose to. I tried rolling the wheel left and right ,made sure the parking brake wasn't engaged *sigh* nothing. So I work in the car service business right now and people do need to get where they want. They could walk,be a lot cheaper but that ain't happening today.  I had 5 houses to pick up and there was no other driver in town. Well guess what folks time will have to be waiting! I can't carry you on my shoulders(I ain't that strong) LOL. Another co worker almost took the bloody steering wheel off but hey he fixed it! I now can drive for the next 10 hours. Should I thank him or not?

I bought a bicycle engine last week. I have NO way of getting around and nice weather coming I don't want to be holed up or start taking expensive taxis! It will get 150 miles on a 1tank of gas. HMMM I'll believe it went I try it. I almost have it set up. I only cursed a few times(believe what you want) and some parts need to be adjusted but by the end of this week...watch out here I come!

Van living has been put on hold for a while. Im hoping to be out on the road by the end of summer. Fingers crossed. Not that Im not doing anything to prepare. Lots of blog reading helps! Let see I bought a cool2 fan(and will buy another)a stove, a heater, furniture Im hoping to put in(very little)and other odds and ends....like a comforter and a 20 degree below sleeping bag. My pets (rodent darlings) will be coming with me if they are still here. They are old now so I don't know how much longer the little guys will be around. I hope VERY long but thats dreaming away there.

A review of the Coleman perfect flow single stove

Yes even though i'm not in a van yet I'm exploring with different items. I love to do reviews. LOL This stove I got through Amazon 3 days earlier than the tracking date. Very good Amazon! Came bubble wrapped and double boxed so no damage was done. It was so easy to set up. Just screw canister with the screw on device. Easy peasy. Use matches to light I tried a lighter but because you need to tilt the lighter ....burned fingers. I need a new pan because mine was too light and caused it to slide right off the bowl. I managed to keep it on by sliding a butter knife tip underneath it and sliding the pan a slight bit off the bowl. Cooked 2 eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast and boiled water for coffee. Yummy. I like the that its upright and not hanging in the air as other stoves, I would get another soon for more convenience.
